CW Mic Block is a privacy and microphone-control utility designed to help users monitor and manage microphone access on their Android device.
https://alledgedly.fyi synchronization is optional and a signup/registration is required to use with the mobile app. You can signup at https://alledgedly.fyi. Evidence selected by the user is transmitted securely to a private, locked Alledgedly profile. Synced evidence is not publicly visible by default. Users must deliberately change their profile privacy settings to make content visible to others.
If a user later unlocks their profile, that is a separate user-controlled publishing action. It does not make the initial private sync “required” or automatically public.
CW Mic Block does not require an account, does not contain advertising, does not use analytics, and does not transmit personal information or microphone data to CW Enterprize or third parties.
1. Microphone Audio
CW Mic Block does not request the Android RECORD_AUDIO permission and does not record, capture, save, upload, or transmit microphone audio.
The app is designed to provide microphone privacy controls and alerts without listening to or recording the user’s conversations.
2. Microphone Activity Information
CW Mic Block may access Android-provided microphone recording-configuration information to determine when Android reports that microphone recording activity is occurring.
This information is used locally on the device for features such as:
- Mic Guard alerts
- Microphone activity history
- Privacy notifications
- Microphone monitoring status
Android may not always reveal which application is responsible for a microphone session. CW Mic Block does not claim that microphone activity automatically means unauthorized access or hacking.
3. Usage Access
CW Mic Block may optionally ask the user to enable Usage Access through Android Settings.
If the user enables this access, CW Mic Block may use recent foreground-app information to provide additional context when a microphone session begins.
This information is processed only on the user’s device.
Usage Access is optional and can be disabled at any time through Android Settings.
Foreground-app information should not be interpreted as proof that a particular application used the microphone.
4. Installed Applications and Microphone Permissions
CW Mic Block may inspect information about applications visible to Android and determine whether those applications have microphone permission.
This information is used locally for features such as:
- Microphone permission auditing
- Trusted-app selections
- Privacy information displayed to the user
CW Mic Block does not upload or transmit the user’s installed-app list to CW Enterprize.
5. Notifications
CW Mic Block may request permission to send Android notifications.
Notifications are used for privacy-related functions such as:
- Mic Guard alerts
- Active microphone-protection services
- Temporary microphone-access countdowns
- Auto Mic Lock status
Notification permission can be managed through Android Settings.
6. Foreground Services
Certain CW Mic Block features use Android foreground services so that microphone privacy functions can continue operating while the user is not actively viewing the app.
These may include:
- Mic Guard monitoring
- Auto Mic Lock
- Temporary microphone access
Android requires active foreground services to display a visible notification.
7. Device Screen and Lock State
CW Mic Block may use Android device screen or lock-state information for features such as Auto Mic Lock.
This allows the app to perform user-selected privacy actions when the screen is turned off or locked.
This information remains on the device.
8. Local Storage
CW Mic Block stores application settings and privacy information locally in the app’s private storage.
This may include:
- User preferences
- Trusted-app selections
- Mic Guard settings
- Up to approximately 200 microphone activity metadata events
- Other locally configured privacy settings
This information is not transmitted to CW Enterprize.
Android backup is disabled for CW Mic Block.
9. Data Collection and Sharing
CW Mic Block does not collect or share user data with CW Enterprize or third parties.
The app:
- Has no Internet permission
- Does not transmit personal information
- Does not upload microphone information
- Does not upload microphone audio
- Does not contain advertising SDKs
- Does not use analytics SDKs
- Does not use an advertising ID
- Does not sell or rent user information
Information used by CW Mic Block is processed locally on the user’s Android device.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Microphone activity metadata and application settings are stored locally.
Users may remove locally stored information by:
- Clearing Mic Guard history from within the app
- Using the app’s Privacy and Local Data controls
- Clearing CW Mic Block’s application data through Android Settings
- Uninstalling CW Mic Block
Uninstalling the application removes its locally stored application data.
Because CW Mic Block does not maintain user accounts or cloud-based user records, CW Enterprize generally does not possess remote user data to delete.
11. Microphone Blocking Limitations
CW Mic Block provides software-based microphone privacy tools, but Android device manufacturers and operating-system versions may handle microphone controls differently.
A software microphone mute may sometimes be ignored or overridden by the operating system or device.
Android’s built-in system Microphone Access privacy control may provide the strongest system-level microphone restriction available on supported devices.
CW Mic Block does not guarantee that it can prevent every possible form of microphone access on every Android device.
12. Security and Privacy
CW Mic Block is designed as a local-first privacy utility.
The app does not send your microphone activity, installed-app information, trusted-app choices, or privacy history to CW Enterprize servers.
Users remain responsible for maintaining the security of their Android device and operating-system account.
13. Children’s Privacy
CW Mic Block is a general-purpose privacy and security utility and is not specifically designed for children.
The application does not contain advertising, user accounts, social networking, or mechanisms intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Third-Party and Android Services
CW Mic Block relies on certain Android operating-system functions to provide microphone privacy controls, notifications, usage information, and foreground services.
Android and Google Play may independently process information according to their own privacy policies. CW Enterprize does not control the data practices of the Android operating system, Google Play, device manufacturers, or other applications installed on the user’s device.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if CW Mic Block’s functionality or data-handling practices change.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when significant changes are made.
